Lake Placid Inn: Main Street

We have rented with the Inn several times and the rooms are always clean and have enough space for a family. The location is central making it easy to get around town and the facility is quiet. Lastly the stay is attentive and always ready to help.

The room was very nice. Lots of room and up to date kitchen. I only wish they had a small coffee maker like they have in hotel rooms. I am the only one in my family who drinks coffee so to invest in a filter, coffee and creamer for one cup wasn’t worth it thus I had to seek out a place in the morning where I could purchase my coffee! The bed was excellent! The best mattress I have ever experienced and I had a wonderful sleep. One suggestion would be to put a coffee table or end tables near the couch. There was nowhere to set our drinks while watching tv. Checking in was a little difficult as we had to go to an another site. Overall the accommodations were very good.

Best value by far. We stayed on main st. Check in at “main hotel” was 3 blocks (6 min walk/1 min drive) and no issues. Toboggan across frozen mirror lake at back door (100 steps). Subway for whiteface snacks downstairs along w a small brewery. Olympic stadium literally across road. No neighbor noise. Bedroom, full kitchen and pull out couch. Perfect for 2A+2K family. Walk to all of main in 5 mins in any direction. New construction and finishes. Cunningham ski rentals next door (bonus). Best price and value in the town.

Stayed here for a hockey tournament and the location and room couldn't have been better. Rooms are spacious, kitchen has 99% everything you need...no pans for the oven but wasn't an issue for us. Free laundry but need to bring own detergent but a big plus. I didn't opt for housekeeping so had to remove own trash. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed at the Main Street location and it was absolutely wonderful! We were conveniently located right across from the Olympic Center (we were there for an ice hockey tournament) and were within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Check-in and check-out were super easy and the staff was very friendly and kind. This town is so super cute and is truly something out of a Hallmark movie—and Lake Placid is actually where a Hallmark movie was filmed ! There are so many things to see and do around the area for the entire family. My husband and I will definitely be returning and hopefully will bring our kids and grandkids back with us!

I really enjoyed the spacious room, the modern, clean bathroom, and the functional kitchen. The location is also very convenient. However, it gets quite noisy at night—sounds from upstairs, neighboring units, and the street carry through easily. You can hear everything from people talking, chairs moving, walking, and doors opening and closing. Some extra insulation in the walls would make a big difference. Aside from the noise, the beds are comfortable and everything else is great.

This place is like having your own apartment in the middle of town. I love ice skating and the rinks are just across the street. We can explore the eateries or we can cook and dine in our own place. The kitchen is well equipped with almost everything one needs. A water kettle and soup bowls would be great additions. The freedom to cook has an advantages over a hotel. The apartment is spacious, modern and clean. We loved bathroom rain shower. The one thing lacking is a reliable wifi system for the living room television. All in all, we love this place!

The location cannot be beat and the rooms are a perfect size for a family stay. The mattress in the pull out sofa was high quality. We especially appreciated the view of the Olympic Center, tho bathtub in the 2-bedroom suite and the fully stocked kitchen. Definitely booking here again next time we are in Lake Placid.
